Complaints about plagiarism in the anderworld have not stopped for the last few months. Mean thiefs who steal photos, screencaps, icons or use text from public sources do not let some vigilant Anderson Cooper fans get a good night’s sleep. Who cares it’s a photographer who took the photo, and tv station, tv show produced the video that the screencaps are taken from, and that the copywrite belongs to them. Fangirls exhaust themselves downloading from another website or recording from tv, then making clips and screencaps. That's what matters.
They also have to upload it all to their blog or profile page. Now it’s their property! Anderson Cooper 360 Review’s mod Eliza led the crusade on plagiarism. If anderworld had it’s own police chief or interior minister, she would be perfect for the job. She'd make the Rules of Blog Referencing, Code of Screencap Use and Icon Policy. Other rabid protectors of their creative property could help her make sure nobody disobeys. Till then, you can enjoy images of Anderson Cooper on our blog!

LOL - don't forget the faithful ac fan who takes from one site and goes & plasters it all over the other blogs, claiming it as her own work. People who don't have a mind or research skills of their own should just look at the information and move on. I think the fans out there are smart enough to find the info on their own, they don't need a special fan to spoon feed them.
You have to give a lot of credit ot ATA, Eliza and the others who dig up this information for their blogs.
I don't actually recall Eliza ever saying anything in particular about images or screencaps or icons or any of that. Her big complaint (and man, I don't blame her at all) was Christiane from Freaks bodily lifting the text of other people's *research materials*, be it about the Amazon or the dangers of reporting in Iraq, and presenting it on her blog with no accreditation as if it were her own work and words. That's a serious issue--that's plagiarism--and is worlds away from the silly bitching people do because "ZOMG U TUK MAH SKREENCAP THAT I TUK FROM SUMWHER ELZ!" One at least reasonably falls under fair use, but bodily lifting the text of other people's writing and research is just stealing.
Oh please - nobody gives a crap about screencaps, icons, clips or wallpaper. What I objected to (and I'm not Eliza, as I'm sure you can tell from your sitemeter) is Freaky Christiane's habit of cutting and pasting vast swathes of other people's textual analysis of complex issues, mixing it into her own text without citation so that her moronic fans would think SHE wrote it. Sh'yeah, right.
Hint to readers - if something sounds too smart to be coming from Christiane, chances are it isn't Christiane. Cut and paste a chunk of text into google inside quotes and you can find the original reference she stole it from.
But speaking of bitching about 'thieves' - let's talk about Christiane picking up pics from Getty or WireImage or wherever and then slapping her OWN silly little 'freakspeakers' watermark on it. And disabling right-click so you can't even open comments in a tab, 'to prevent theft'.
I think it's too bad they redesigned the site, personally. That crazed bitch with the sledgehammer is the perfect symbol for their site.
